Its concept lies in providing serenity amidst the bustling cityscape, all under an affordable budget. Each home at Azziano boasts contemporary architecture and cutting-edge design, coupled with expansive living spaces and panoramic views of Thane City. Residents can indulge in world-class amenities like a well-equipped fitness centre, banquet hall, and of course, a magnificent swimming deck.

A Common Goal: Clean Waters for Everyone

Despite Azziano’s generous offerings, there are certain downsides to it. For one, facilities have to be shared by every resident on the block, including the most frequented swimming pool. This is where the tricky part comes in – maintaining the pool’s condition to withstand the toll of hundreds of residents. As part of its constant strive for exceptional standards, Rustomjee consulted the services of KAL Envirotek, a partner dealer of Waterco.

After an in-depth discussion and understanding of Rustomjee’s requests, KAL Envirotek came up with the following proposal, ultimately executed by KAL Envirotek’s sister firm, M/s. Leading Edge Designbuild LLP:

• 5 units of Micron S1050 Fibreglass Filters
• 4 units of Hydrostar 700 Pumps
• 2 units of MultiCyclone 70XL

To begin with, 5 units of Waterco’s Micron S1050 Fibreglass Filters were set up. Equipped with multilayers of media filters, the Micron Fibreglass Filter does the perfect job of removing waste under stress, given its durable capability and high-performance rate. Its defining feature is the unique, precision-engineered laterals that maximize water flow for efficient filtration and backwashing. Combined with a top-mount design, this ensures easy installation and minimal maintenance.

Waterco’s glass-reinforced thermoplastic pumps bring hydraulics running time and corrosion resistance to the forefront, specifically engineered for commercial usage. Hence, 4 units of Hydrostar 700 pumps were installed. The Hydrostar pump is a remarkable powerhouse that operates quietly to allow for an undisturbed swimming experience. Even with its impressive strength and durability, the pump has a lighter weight than its conventional steel counterparts, making installing and managing tasks much less of a burden.

To complete the package, 2 units of MultiCyclone 70XL pre-filters were also included. These pre-filters work in tandem with the pool’s filtration system, spinning out and effectively eliminating waste products before the water passes through the main component. What’s more, these pre-filters operate without the need for filter media, ensuring an environmentally friendly solution and further reduced upkeep costs. The 70XL, as the name suggests, was chosen for its purposely built-in function that can sustain larger pool workloads.

Getting Into a ‘Tight’ Situation

However, there was an obstacle course lying ahead of the installation team. The allocated plant room was down in the basement parking lot, with significantly limited space. At one glance, it seemed almost impossible to fit in all the equipment, much less install it. But that did not deter the team from their efforts, which eventually proved to be worth it. They improvised by arranging the filters and pumps in a neat, parallel fashion, and managed to get the operation up and running in no time.

Finally, Rustomjee’s vision was brought to life. A sparkling, azure pool of refreshing water can be enjoyed by all the residents with no worries of uncleanliness. Owing to the collective operation of Waterco’s products, residents are guaranteed a safer and healthier swimming lifestyle. For an establishment of Azziano’s prestige, this was a clear reflection of how the perfect residential pool should be.
